55.              $350

Brewster Manufacturing Co. miniature scroll-front, 1852–1854.  A rare 12-inch-tall scroll-front from a short-lived business that consisted of just Elisha Brewster.  The door glass is most likely original with excellent retention of the colored transfer.  The dial has the original paint with some touch-up, no evidence of a signature.  The hands are period but the minute hand is a trimmed replacement.  The 30-hour, time-only movement is quite unusual, a ladder movement with ribbed plates.  It is not die-stamped; it is running with enthusiasm. There is an old, embossed pendulum bob, a Brewster winding key, and a good label on the bottom inside.  I can find one sale of this model on LiveAuctioneers at Skinner’s in 2009 for $500; RO Schmitt sold one with an alarm in 2001 for $1000.  Cute as a button.  $350–$600.

Here's an easy way to keep track of your favorite clocks:  Open/download the Bid Form PDF onto your computer (it should open in a new window) and type in the clocks you want to save.  Right click to 'save as', or click the download arrow in the top right corner of your browser window, and you can save the filled-in form on your computer - I recommend your desktop.  It will be easy to find and you can open it any time to add or subtract clocks from the list.  When you are ready to go, your bid form will be too!
