Ansonia Clock Co. “Huntress Swing”, ca. 1883.  An 18-inch cast figural of Diana the Huntress, here carrying home a bird, in a clean old finish; this came in two finishes, Japanese or Syrian bronze, and this is one of those.  The overall height, with the swinging ball, is 25 inches.  These clocks came with a ball swing movement or a cannister movement, and the ball could be finished in blue or red; this one was blue, based on a drip on the inside of the ball, but the transparent finish often peeled off and has been removed completely here.  The silvered ball is 4 inches in diameter, the clock is swinging without problem and the hands are advancing.  Recent sales of this model run $900-$1100 on LiveAuctioneers. $900-$1100.
