203. $1800
Seth Thomas “Chime Clock No. 264”, ca. 1914. A 14-inch-tall mahogany
cabinet with “shaded marquetery”. A beautiful case with just a small bruise on the right top edge. The silvered dial is
in very good condition and sits behind a beveled, convex glass in a bezel that closes and latches. The 8-day, time, strike,
and chime movement is running like a champ and will play Westminster or Whittington chimes on eight bells, as well as count the hours. You can turn off the chime for no reason that I can imagine. I have not previously sold this model, but similar 8-bell models
have brought $2000 and up. $1800-$2400.
