Forestville Manufacturing Co. ripple-front steeple, 1842-1849. A 20-inch ripple-front sharp gothic with two period/original glasses, the tablet showing JC Brown’s home in Bristol, CT.  Surprising little loss to the decalcomania image.  The flat metal dial has been repainted, the hands period/original.  The dial is held in place with a wooden strip across the bottom.  The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is signed and running and striking on the wire gong.  The alarm is not hooked up and not tested.  A very good label inside.  These are currently selling for around $600.  $450-$650.
