155.           $100

Smith & Goodrich 30-hour OG, 1847-1852.  A 26-inch case with good mahogany veneer and two old glasses that are likely replacements; the period tablet of “Market Place Quebec” shows very few losses and has been backed to protect it.  This tablet lithograph is probably based on a lithograph published by A. Bourne in 1832, as shown here.  I have not seen this tablet before.  The metal dial shows typical wear, the hands are period and correct.  The 30-hour, time-and-strike movement is unsigned, driven by two 30-hour weights (included); it is running and striking without problem.  There is a good label inside with some oil staining and losses.  $100-$200.
