Fraser Forgie Massachusetts shelf clock, 1986. Forgie made
reproductions of Massachusetts shelf clocks and early banjos in Fryeburg, Maine in the 1980’s. This is a 35-inch-tall reproduction
of a Willard shelf clock, in flame mahogany. The dish dial has proper hands and sits behind a reverse-painted glass with Forgie’s
name at the bottom. Forgie made the brass plate movement, driven by a large lead weight; it is running, regulated by a pendulum
with an embossed bob. There is a card with details on the provenance inside, along with a winding crank. $600-$1200.
