121. $250
Seth Thomas column & splat, ca. 1830. A 28-inch case
with brightly bronzed columns and splat and a nicely repainted tablet. Both glasses are old but have been replaced, the dial
glass long ago. It appears the clock had finials of some sort, possibly pineapples (a symbol of hospitality in colonial America)
and paw feet. The wooden dial shows some losses but has colorful gilded spandrels, with appropriate hands. The 30-hour
wooden movement will run briefly, and likely just needs some coaxing; there are two 30-hour weights. There is a pretty good
label inside. Not perfect, but certainly attractive. $250-$400.
