106.           $350

Ithaca Calendar Clock Co. “No. 11 Octagon Poni”, 1883-1890. A three-quarter-size version of the popular and inexpensive No. 11 Octagon, this clock is 18 inches tall with a full-length glass door and paper dial.  This clock was made for only seven years and in many fewer numbers than the Octagon, and so is more difficult to find today.  The finish here is old, the glass old, the paper dial replaced by The Dial House (I did not know they did paper dials).  The hands are as shown in the catalog illustration (Ly, Calendar Clocks, page 142).  The 8-day time and strike movement was made by Welch for the ICCC; it is running and striking on an iron bell, regulated by a proper nickel-plated pendulum bob.  The calendar is advancing properly; note the correct English lettering on the rollers.  A rare clock; one sale on the Antique Clocks Identification and Price Guide, one sale on LiveAuctioneers, and the most recent sale, by your favorite clock seller (AAC) in 2020 for $250.  That clock had some issues; this one does not.  $350-$500.

Looking for an easy way to save the clocks you like?

Here's an easy way to keep track of your favorite clocks:  Open/download the Bid Form PDF onto your computer (it should open in a new window) and type in the clocks you want to save.  Right click to 'save as', or click the download arrow in the top right corner of your browser window, and you can save the filled-in form on your computer - I recommend your desktop.  It will be easy to find and you can open it any time to add or subtract clocks from the list.  When you are ready to go, your bid form will be too!
