103.           $350

Ithaca Calendar Clock Co. “No. 8 Shelf Library”, 1868-1883. This is the first version of this shelf model, with a single finial on top; the later version had a carved top (see #104).  With the finial the case is 25 inches tall; note that the finial tip has suffered some trauma.  The finish on the walnut case has been renewed and looks great.  Both glasses are old, the paper dials are old and show wear.  The time hands are replacements. The 8-day, time-and-strike movement was made by Noah Pomeroy; it is running with some coaxing, striking on a wire gong.  The calendar is advancing as expected; the pendulum bob is a brass replacement.  No label, as is common.  AAC sold one in 2020 for $375.  $350-$450.
