96.              $450

Southern Calendar Clock Co. “Fashion No. 4”,ca. 1885.  A second example of this model with a good original finish, a light patina, and three original finials – however, the tip of the middle finial has been replaced.  The door glass is original with the original lettering; the dials are old, but the calendar dial may have been repainted.  The hands are original.  The signed 8-day, time-and-strike movement is running and striking on a brass bell, the calendar is advancing.  The pendulum hanger holding the bob is a bench-made replacement, and the bob is not original.  Good labels inside, the roller covers are not too discolored.  I did not check the secret compartment in the back.  $450-$750.
