90.              $3000

Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Parlor Calendar No. 9”, 1887.  This is the best example I have seen of this model.  The walnut case is 29.5 inches tall with a beautiful clear finish; note all the carvings, applied pieces, including burl veneer on the sides.  I see no missing or replaced pieces, including the three rings at the top.  The case is perfect.  Both glasses are old and likely original; the dials are not original to the clock and have been repainted.  The hands are correct.  The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is signed and running, striking on the hours on a cathedral gong; the calendar is advancing without problem.  Roller covers have been replaced. Good labels inside, date of manufacture on the back.  Like it came out of the factory yesterday.  AAC sold one almost as nice a year ago for $3000.  $3000-$4500.
