84.              $225

Seth Thomas “Parlor Calendar No. 3”, ca. 1863. A 27-inch case with all-new rosewood veneer – it looks great!  The glasses are old, the dials repainted some time ago and numbered by hand.  The time dial was turned upside down, I guess, and the old holes filled, noticeable only from the back.  The time hands are not typical, the calendar hand is correct.  The Seth Thomas 8-day, time-and-strike movement is running, striking, and the Mix Brothers calendar mechanism (indicating a production date prior to 1876) is advancing.  A good label on the door. These clocks have been selling between $200 and $375 of late.  $225-$350.
