Waterbury Clock Co. “Calendar No. 38”, ca. 1891. A 28-inch walnut case with a clean old finish. The door glass is period, the painted dials clean and with minimal chipping. The 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement is shown in Ly, Waterbury Clocks & Watches, Vol. 1, on pages 104-105. It is
running, striking, and the calendar wheels and date hand are advancing. There is a Waterbury nickel pendulum and several good
labels on the back. A very nice example of an uncommon model; note that this is one of Waterbury’s smaller calendar models. Two sales on LiveAuctioneers, most recently at Harris in 2018 for $275. $250-$400.
