76.              $400

Seth Thomas “Office Calendar No. 6”, ca. 1884. A 32-inch walnut-veneered case with an old finish.  Both glasses are old, both dials are old, the hands correct.  The 8-day, time-and-strike signed movement is running without problem, striking on the hours, and the calendar is advancing.  The RT Andrews movement looks to be a replacement, based on the gold-painted base.  I could be wrong.  Label on the back of the door and a do not oil sign behind the calendar.  Another practically perfect clock from my Texan consignor; all of his clocks are in the best shape possible, and all run.  AAC sold a No. 6 a year ago for $426.  $400-$500.
