75.              $1600

Seth Thomas “Office Calendar No. 12”, ca. 1890. A 45-inch oak case with a clean finish and old glass in the door.  Both dials are repainted and match the dials shown in the catalog illustration on page 101 of Ly’s book (Vol. 1) on Seth Thomas clocks.  All hands are correct.  The 8-day, time-only, weight-driven movement is unsigned, running without problem and the R.T. Andrews calendar is advancing.  The 4-lb cast iron weight runs down the right side.  There is a shiny pendulum bob, no label or date on the back.  This clock seems just about perfect to me.  Schmitt Horan sold a very similar example in 2021 for $1800; no other recent sales.  $1600-$2000.
