60.              $300

Waltham Clock Co. “#1501 banjo”, ca. 1920. After 1923 WCC started using the Waltham Watch and Clock Co. name, but this example still bears the WCC stamp on the movement. It is shown in the 1930 catalog, page 247 of Ly’s book American Clocks, Vol. 1.  The walnut case is 42 inches long with a heavy brass eagle finial, an original tablet, and an 8-day, time-only movement driven by a lead weight.  The case is in excellent condition, and it is running without difficulty.  The dial glass is convex and beveled, the signed painted dial is clean.  Nothing not to like here.  AAC sold a similar example in July 2021 for $400.  $300-$500.
