Seth Thomas “Eclipse”,ca. 1890. A 26.5-inch refinished walnut case with carvings top and bottom. The glass is a modern replacement; the dial
was repainted by The Dial House, the hands are correct. The signed Seth Thomas 8-day, time-and-strike movement is running and
striking on a wire gong on a Seth Thomas mount; the pendulum is specific to this model and says ‘Eclipse’ at the top. The alarm
is hooked up but untested. There are remnants of a label inside. The Eclipse was, and is a popular model, with many sales
on LiveAuctioneers, most recently at Fontaine’s and Vogt’s for $175 and $150, respectively. $150-$250.
