EN Welch “Kellogg”ca. 1880.  The Kellogg and the Regulator No. 4 used identical cases but different movements.  The Kellogg was made a bit later than the No. 4 and had a time and half-hour strike 8-day movement, as found here.  The black walnut case is 41 inches long with a dark glossy finish and lots of finials.  The finials here may not all be original, but they look like it.  Both glasses are modern replacements, the dial pan is aluminum with a paper dial, the hands are correct.  The large spring-driven movement is unsigned, running and striking on a cathedral gong.  There is newer black flocked paper inside, as was originally used; there is no label.  The pendulum stick is a replacement, as is the bob.  The Kellogg is a difficult model to find, with just one auction sale since 2014, at Schmitt Horan in 2021 for $1800.  Only three sales in the Antique Clocks Identification and Price Guide since 1999.  $450-$900.
