4.                   $600

Wm. Gilbert Clock Co. “Regulator No. 11”, ca. 1891.  A clean and beautiful 50-inch walnut case with three original glasses held in place by the original putty; it is only lacking some of the ball trim pieces on the crest.  The pin holes are there if you wish to buy and stain some from your local crafts store.  The paper dial is a twentieth century replacement, signed, and with only slight yellowing. The hands are period and correct.  The 8-day, time-only, weight-driven movement is the proper movement for this model, as shown in Ly, Gilbert Clocks, page 136; it is running with authority, driven by two small brass weights that run down each side and wind from a central arbor.  There is a vertical split in the backboard, but it is not particularly noticeable.  Six sales of this model in 2021, averaging $738.  $600-$900.

Can I return my clock if I don’t like it?

Absolutely!  Save your packing and box, you have 30 days from receipt to return it for a full refund if you are unhappy.  If the clock is not as described, or I missed something important and that is not evident from the pictures, I will refund your shipping costs (both ways) as well.  Find another auction company that does that!
