DR-6. $50
E.N. Welch Manufacturing Co. “Little Lord Fauntleroy”
and “Columbian Watch”, ca. 1890. The oblong clock on the left is LLF, the large watch on the right is from the 1892 Columbian
Exposition in Chicago IL. Both are 1-day backwinds; LLF is not running, the watch is. LLF is under 3 inches wide and 2.5
inches tall in a brass case with a signed paper dial behind a small, beveled glass. The watch has an embossed image on the back
cover of Columbus landing in America 500 years earlier. The paper dial is signed, behind glass, and with correct hands. The winding armature should be over the back inside cover, but has been moved inside, and the back cover does not stay in place. The setting mechanism for the hands is broken. An interesting souvenir; see page 81 of Ly, Welch Clocks, Second Edition. You get them both for one money. $50–$100.
