F. Kroeber Clock Co. “China No. 31”, ca. 1898. A 17-inch vase-form porcelain case in cherry with considerable crazing.  The brass top and base are in the original finish, in good condition.  The dial glass is flat, the dial replaced paper, and the hands replacements.  The 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement is die-stamped F Kroeber in the upper left corner (not visible in the photo); it is running and striking.  Only one sale that I can find, in 2011 at R.O. Schmitt’s for $180; it included the two side-piece vases that originally came with the clock. $100-$500.
