F. Kroeber “Cabinet No. 5”, ca. 1885.  A second Kroeber cabinet, this one in ebony with gold incising.  The case is 12.5 inches tall with little wear but a bit of soiling.  The dial glass may be modern, the black paper dial is likely original, with proper brass hands.  The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is signed and running, striking on a Kroeber wire gong.  A good label on the back.  No sales on LiveAuctioneers, one sale in 2000 in the Antique Clocks Identification and Price Guide.  Another rare Kroeber clock.  $100–$200.
