The E. Ingraham Co. “Peerless” kitchen clock, ca.
1915. A 22.5-inch pressed oak case with a clean finish. Note the lion on the crest. The glass is old with a reasonably
preserved gold stencil. The signed paper dial is very yellowed, the hands are as shown in the catalog illustration. The
Ingraham 8-day, time-and-strike movement is running and striking, regulated by an Ingraham pendulum; there is a good label on the
back that refers to the St. Louis World’s Fair, held in 1904. This clock appears to be part of a set of clocks introduced at
that fair. $50–$150.
