PK-4.              $200

Ansonia Clock Co. “Triumph”, ca. 1880. Ansonia’s iconic mirrorside in very original condition.  The finish on the 24-inch black walnut case is old and dusty but everything is there – correct finials, original figurehead, original mirrors, original statues with the original finish, and an original door glass with some loss to the stenciling from 140 years of cleaning.  The paper dial bears the Ansonia logo and isn’t too badly yellowed; the hands are correct.  The signed 8-day, time-and-strike movement doesn’t want to run, but can probably be persuaded with some diligence.  The strike chain is working fine, striking on the nickel bell.  There is an original two-barrel pendulum, an Ansonia beat scale, and wallpaper on the back wall, with a Christmas sticker from long ago.  A little effort here and you’ll have a very nice Triumph.  $200–$400.
