E.N. Welch Anglo-American wall clock, ca. 1875.  A 27-inch round-drop wall clock with an inlaid case made in England and an E.N. Welch 8-day, time-and-strike movement.  The inlay on the case is very good, with just a few chips and missing pieces, and some veneer replacements around the bezel; the finish is old. The glasses are modern as is the dial (aluminum) and hands.  The movement is running and striking on a brass bell with a nice tone.  This clock sold for $555 in Middletown Springs, VT in 1982.  $100–$250.
