RG-17. $150
Waterbury Clock Co. exported wall clock, ca. 1910. This model is not shown in either of Ly’s volumes on Waterbury clocks and was likely made for export to England; for example, it has
wooden plugs on the upper sides that allow you to remove the dial and case surround to access the movement. The case is mahogany
or walnut with an old and worn finish, with lots of ornamentation; nothing appears to be missing. The dial glass is modern,
the lower door glass old with applied decals. The dial is yellowed paper with the Waterbury logo, the hands period. The
signed 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement is running and striking on a wire gong. There is a glossy black paper interior
but no label. $150–$300.
