243. $500
Bradley & Hubbard “Banjo Player”, ca. 1870. A second blinking eye clock, this one also in very original condition and running properly. The Banjo Player is perhaps the
most common blinking eye clock, with many reproductions. I believe the paint on this example is original, with a polka-dot shirt,
brown striped pants, and a red and gold vest. The dial glass is likely original, as is the paper dial; the hands are replacements. The 30-hour lever movement is unsigned, running, and the original eyes are bobbing. There is no foundry or maker’s stamp on
the base. $500-$900.
