215. $300
Winterhalder & Hoffman chiming shelf clock,ca. 1920. A 17.5-inch clean oak case with grape vine carvings on the front and fabric-backed brass fretwork on the sides and
back; it sits on four brass ball feet. The fabric is likely original and has numerous tears. There is a flat glass in
the door with a crack at the upper right. The silvered dial is a bit soiled. The brass plate movement is signed W&H
at the bottom; it runs 8 days and plays Westminster chimes on four cathedral gongs on the quarter hours and counts the hours on a
fifth deeper-toned gong. The clock is running and striking without problem. I do not have a winding key for this clock. $300-$500.
