212.             $500

New Haven “30 Day Timepiece” calendar, ca. 1900. This model is not shown in Ly’s book on New Haven clocks, but it can be found on page 128 of Miller & Miller’s Survey of American Clocks – Calendar Clocks.  A model name is not given, and it is listed as “American Regulator, 30 Day Time Piece” on the label on the back of the clock.  It is also shown as being manufactured for the American Wringer Co. and thus was retailed only through ARC.  The dark and grungy case is oak, 48 inches in length, with old glass in the door.  Both dials hold the original paint with some soiling and flaking.  The hands are correct and include a seconds bit.  The time dial states “Thirty Day” and the calendar dial tells you to wind and set the calendar on the first of every month.  The 30-day, double-wind, spring-driven movement is signed and running and the simple calendar is advancing.  The only fault I can find is the loss of the button on the bottom, replaced by an eagle pin.  This clock sold at Fontaine's last fall for $850.  $500-$850.
