Seth Thomas “Panama”, 1887.  I believe this is my favorite Seth Thomas model. A 31-inch walnut case with a clean finish, an old/original door glass, original painted dial in good shape, proper hands, and an 8-day, time-and-strike signed lyre movement that even has its Geneva stops to prevent overwinding. The bezel is nickel as is the damascened pendulum bob.  There is a black label on the bottom and the date of manufacture stamped on the back.  It is running and striking on a cathedral gong.  All original and just about perfect.  Horton’s sold one in 2018 for $700.  $750-$1000.
