145.             $500

Ansonia Clock Co. “No. 506”, ca. 1910.  This clock seems not to have been named, but is listed as No. 506 in Ly, Ansonia Clocks & Watches, page 634.  It is an unusual porcelain – Ansonia made very few tall-standing models.  It is 16.5 inches tall with a cream and baby blue background and pastel flowers on the front; the brass bezel holds a beveled glass over a flat, decorated porcelain dial and proper hands.  No cracks, chips, or crazing.  The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is signed, running, and striking, but out of plumb.  You can fix that with some patience.  Four sales on Antique Clocks Price Guide, none on LiveAuctioneers; most recent sale (2013) at R.O. Schmitt’s for $750.  $500-$750.
