141.            $100

Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Empire No. 10” crystal regulator,ca. 1904.  A 14.5-inch case (slightly shorter than specified in the catalog description, page 240 of Ly, Seth Thomas Clocks & Movements, Vol. 1) with a worn and tarnished finish.  It appears most of the gilding has been cleaned away.  There are four perfect beveled glasses and a perfect one-piece porcelain dial with the proper hands.  The round 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement bears the ST logo; it will strike but I cannot keep it running.  Cathedral gong.  Schmidt’s Antiques sold one in 2020 for $160.  $100-$200.
