127. $100
Seth Thomas “Column”, ca. 1875. A
25-inch case with good mahogany veneer, two original glasses, a period painted dial, period hands, and a weight-driven, 30-hour, time-and-strike
movement that is signed and running. The milk-glass image of a fountain is in good condition for this type of tablet; the
Plymouth Hollow label is clean and readable. The columns are the only weak point, as they have been painted and poorly touched
up. Overall, a good original example of this popular shelf clock of the 1800’s. $100-$200.
