121.             $100

T.E. Suggs 30-hour OG, ca. 1860.  T.E. Suggs is reported as working out of Charleston, SC, but here the label states “Georgia”.  There are several examples on LiveAuctioneers, all labeled out of South Carolina, some with G.W. Suggs & Co.  There are no listings on the Antique Clocks Price Guide.  The 26-inch OG case is veneered in flame mahogany on the front, the side veneers are very dark.  I see a repair to the banding on the front lower left.  Both glasses are likely original, with the frosted tablet in excellent condition.  The contoured metal dial is almost certainly original and is faded and chipping.  The hands are proper modern replacements.  The 30-hour, weight-driven time-and-strike movement is signed Seth Thomas and is very clean and bright.  There are no weights with this clock but they can be purchased in Parts, #601, for $15.  The clock is running and striking with vigor.  The wire gong is a proper replacement, the previously unreported label is well preserved.  $100-$250.
