120.            $100

Seth Thomas 30-hour OG, ca. 1865.  Here is a 30-hour weight-driven OG with a Thomaston label, indicating that it was made after 1865.  That shows how popular and stable this model was – a clock that first appeared around 1840.  The case is 25 inches tall and 15.25 inches wide, in flame, or figured mahogany with no losses and no evidence of repairs.  Both glasses are old, the eagle on an American shield tablet in very good condition. The contoured, painted metal dial has some wear, soiling, and touch up, perhaps the only thing on this clock that isn’t top-notch. The hands are period and correct, the 8-day, time-and-strike signed movement (with a Plymouth Hollow stamp) is running and striking, although the strike is a bit reluctant.  Two old weights, an old pendulum bob, and a good label.  Yes, a common OG, but a nice one.  What a workhorse this style was.  $100-$200.
