99.              $100

Ansonia Clock Co. “Racine”, ca. 1901. A smaller figural clock, at 11 inches tall and 14 inches wide.  This guy has been refinished nicely.  The clock originally came in gilt or three bronze finishes, which were simply Ansonia designations and not standardized, so as best I can tell, you can call this finish whatever you like.  Racine was a famous French playwright in the 1600’s.  The porcelain dial is decorated and bears the Ansonia logo, the hands are correct; it is behind a flat glass (it should be beveled).  The signed, 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement is running and striking softly on a cathedral gong.  $100-$200.
