86.             $250

Jerome & Co. “Putnam”, ca. 1853.  A small (10.5-inch) cast iron clock with gilt decorations and mother of pearl inlays.  The black paint is flaking off in many places. The brass bezel is old, the glass is modern, the dial has been repainted; the hands are mismatched.  The unsigned 30-hour lever movement is dirty and oily, and not running.  There is no label.  This is an uncommon clock, there are no listings in the Antique Clocks Price Guide or on LiveAuctioneers; one example can be found under Pomeroy, who made some of the movements for this model.  $250-$500.
