60.              $400

E. Terry & Sons pillar & scroll, 1823-1828. Another immaculately restored clock by Jeff Villet.  There are repairs to the veneer on the scroll top; the brass finials are on wooden posts; both glasses are period/original, with the original tablet in reasonable condition – too soon to replace, hard to touch up.  Note that this tablet image is a classic, reproduced on many clocks by tablet painters.  The wooden dial board is very clean, with fading, but note the unusual spandrels.  The hands are period but the minute hand seems too short. The 30-hour, time-and-strike wooden movement is running and striking (of course), with two period weights, a pendulum bob, a winding crank, and a door key for the working latch.  The tin dust covers on top are period.  This is the last of the six P&S clocks immaculately restored by Jeff Villet in this auction, every one of them a great buy.  Don’t miss this opportunity to get a pillar & scroll with no apologies; you know you’ve always wanted one.  $400-$600.

Looking for an easy way to save the clocks you like?

Here's an easy way to keep track of your favorite clocks:  Open/download the Bid Form PDF onto your computer (it should open in a new window) and type in the clocks you want to save.  Right click to 'save as', or click the download arrow in the top right corner of your browser window, and you can save the filled-in form on your computer - I recommend your desktop.  It will be easy to find and you can open it any time to add or subtract clocks from the list.  When you are ready to go, your bid form will be too!
