Antique American Clocks July 2022
20. $500
E. Howard & Co. “No. 70 Regulator”, ca. 1900. An oak case (31 inches long) with a 12-inch dial. The
case is clean with an old finish, both glasses are original with the original glazing around the dial glass, the tablet rebacked. No chipping on the signed dial, hands are blued steel. The signed 8-day, time-only movement is running strongly, the iron weight
is marked ‘70’, the brass pendulum bob is damascened. There is a pendulum tie-down on a wooden weight shield, no label. I can’t find anything wrong with this example. $500-$900.
