Antique American Clocks July 2022
Seth Thomas “Regulator No. 2”, ca. 1922. The simple base indicates a later model, as well as the fine condition and lack of a date stamp on the back. The 34-inch case is dark mahogany with a polished finish; there are some minor veneer issues on the neck. Both glasses are likely original, the dial shows some blemishes, fading, and chipping, but also is likely original to this clock. The trapezoidal time-only movement is signed and running without issue, the pendulum stick, bob, and weight are ST. No label. I’d guess this clock is 100 years old this year and lookin’ good, still working. Who among us can make that claim? $500-$800.
